Come on in to your Dickie Home

From city centre apartment to magnificent rural detached splendour in one day we visited not just one, but five locations currently being developed by Dickie Homes in West Central Scotland and whilst some of these are still at an early stage of development, the locations are already ensuring that a long list of potential buyers are already lining up and little wonder, Dickie Homes have been creating homes in our area for over 125 years and being based in Glasgow they are proud of their local reputation for quality.

First stop in our whistle stop tour was Picketlaw, Carmonnock; here the marketing suite and show home showcase what has been a spectacularly successful development of large luxury detached homes in this sought after destination. The magnificent white homes shine out over their green surroundings, yet thy city is only a short distance away. The current phase of this bespoke location is almost complete, but fear not a limited number of 4 and 5 bedroom villas will soon be released and are sure to be well worth a look based upon the space and style demonstrated by the new showhome.

Travelling a short distance up the road we come to the site of what is the first of a series of apartment developments being created by Dickie at Craigend of Capelrig, Newton Mearns. Again the rural backdrop is immediately evident with the site abutting a series of mature deciduous trees just coming into their full autumn splendour. Here, we will soon see 18 innovatively designed, high specification 2 and 3 bedroom luxury apartments, in what we all recognise as one of the most sought after areas and to give you an idea of how sought after, there are currently over 10 people expressing an interest for every apartment being created!

Within ten minutes we find ourselves in Shawlands and another new site this time the development Parkside in Tantallon Road again sees the creation of apartments, but in an entirely different style and this time with the added appeal of duplexes. This southside city location will offer 1 and 2 bedroom apartments along with a limited number of 3 bedroom duplexes. Every apartment offers covered secured parking with lift access to each level and a high specification is assured.

Back in the car again and a further ten minutes or so brings us into the West End and jus off the Great Western Road, we find Chesterfield Avenue and what promises to be a real gem of a development of just eight 2 & 3 bedroom apartments, with their own gated private parking. The apartments will all be accessible by a lift to all floors where required and enjoy an enviable position in a mature residential area, where the external planting is being maintained to ensure privacy.

For the final leg of the tour we travel to Elderslie and back to large detached homes at the Elder Grove development. An increasingly popular residential area, within easy commuting distance of Glasgow and its international airport, Elder Grove offers a range of spacious 4 and 5 bedroom homes and these are superbly illustrated in the elegant showhome which stylishly uses the full palate of colours throughout.
